Walking the Path Together

My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that true healing happens when we feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment.

Andrew Mills

Integrative Pre-Accredited Psychotherapist

I hold a Higher Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded through PCI College in partnership with Middlesex University, London. My training provided me with a strong foundation in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Practice. Throughout my studies, I developed a deep appreciation for the connection between mind, body, emotions, and lived experience.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, sexual identity exploration, or who are currently going through periods of transition or uncertainty for whatever reasons. I am particularly interested in emotional regulation and resilience, self-compassion, and helping people reconnect with themselves in a meaningful and lasting way.

At the heart of my work is the belief that even through pain and adversity, growth and wisdom can emerge. Together, we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe and supportive, helping you move toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional wellbeing.

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I understand the courage it takes to reach out. My hope is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported throughout your journey.

The Philosophy

The Wounded Healer

The idea of the “Wounded Healer”, first introduced by Carl Jung, is rooted in a simple but powerful understanding of what it means to be human: none of us go through life without experiencing pain, loss, struggle or vulnerability.

For me, being a Wounded Healer isn't about having all the answers or pretending that a therapist is somehow separate from the experiences that make us human. It is about recognising that life can be difficult, and that sometimes we all need someone to walk alongside us.

Our experiences can shape us. They can leave us with wounds, but they can also help us develop compassion, understanding and a deeper appreciation of what others may be carrying.

As a therapist, I don't believe you need someone who simply sits outside your experience and tells you what to do. I believe in creating a space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you come to therapy.

You don't have to know exactly what is wrong.

And you certainly don't have to face it alone.

Together, we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe and supportive, helping you move toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional wellbeing.
